Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schuster was Lord Mayor of the state capital Stuttgart from 1997 to 2013. In addition, he has held and continues to hold numerous functions and offices at national and international institutions. Among other things, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schuster was a long-standing member of the German Federal Government's Council for Sustainable Development (RNE) and is Managing Director of the Institute for Sustainable Urban Development.
In addition to Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schuster as Chairman, the Supervisory Board of Gerchgroup AG will in future be composed as follows:
The sole shareholder is Marathon Beteiligungs GmbH of the Düsterdick and Hüttemann families. As before, the stock corporation is managed by the board members Mathias Düsterdick (Chairman) and Christoph Hüttemann (CFO). The board also includes Dominique Gutsmann (Financing), Alexander Pauls (Development) and Marc K. Thiel (Transaction).

Gerchgroup is a nationwide project developer based in Düsseldorf. The company was launched by Mathias Düsterdick (CEO) and Christoph Hüttemann (CFO) at the end of October 2015, after both had previously sold their shares in the PDI Group. At the end of 2020, Marathon Beteiligungs GmbH, founded in 2008 by the Düsterdick and Hüttemann families, acquired all shares in Gerchgroup. In the course of this, the Swiss SN Beteiligungen AG of the Ketterer family left as a shareholder. With now 7 project developments, the Gerchgroup is currently realizing a total volume of around 3 billion euros throughout Germany. Further project acquisitions are planned in the short term.
